The Diplomat Esteem Lapis Black pen has a very dark blue-black finish with a subtle depth that becomes more visible in stronger light. Its near-black tone keeps the pen conservative while adding more nuance than plain black lacquer. The cylindrical brass body and polished clip let the color read as one continuous field across the surface.
This is a ballpoint pen with a push-button mechanism: a click of the button extends the writing tip, and another click retracts it. It takes a Parker-style G2 ballpoint refill.
