The Black Lacquer with Chrome Trim pen has a metal body finished in glossy black lacquer that reads as deep and mirror-like. Polished chrome at the clip, bands, and ends provides a crisp silver contrast against it, giving the pen a traditional, businesslike look.

What ink system does this fountain pen use?
The Excellence A2 takes standard international ink cartridges and comes with a converter and 2 standard international ink cartridges in the box. When you need a replacement, the pen also accepts the Diplomat plunger converter for bottled ink. Diplomat bottled ink is available from Yafa for use with the converter. The converter is included, so you can start with either cartridges or bottled ink from the outset.
