Some ballpoints extend the tip with a twist of the barrel, such as the Diplomat Aero, Excellence A2, Excellence A Plus and Viper, and the Nettuno N-E 2.0. Others use a push button, such as the Diplomat Esteem and Magnum.

What is a Parker-style G2 refill?

It is the most common ballpoint refill size, named after the ISO 12757-2 G2 format that Parker's refill made popular. Many pen brands use it, so one refill fits a wide range of pens. The Delta, Diplomat, Maiora and Nettuno ballpoints here all take it; see Schmidt ballpoint refills.

Is a Parker-style G2 refill the same as a Pilot G2?

No. Pilot G2 is the name of a gel pen. A Parker-style G2 refill is a metal ballpoint refill in the ISO G2 size, like the Schmidt P900 and easyFLOW 9000.
