Vulcania is mirror-polished ebonite, turned from solid bar, with deep red, burgundy, black and warm brown running through the material in irregular streaks. Gold-colored trim warms the oversized shape, and because the ebonite varies naturally, every pen carries its own arrangement of color.
The Everest is a fountain pen built around a fixed Mega Piston filling system that draws ink directly from the bottle. Writing is powered by an oversized 14K gold nib made in-house by Maiora, paired with an ebonite feed.

Who makes the nib on this pen, and what size is it?
Maiora makes the nib in-house. It is a #8 size, 14-karat solid gold nib paired with an ebonite feed. The #8 is an oversized nib unit, matched to the Everest's oversized body. Because both the nib and the feed are produced by Maiora in Naples, the pairing is specific to the Everest line.
How does the Vulcania fill with ink, and how much does it hold?
The Everest Vulcania fills directly from a bottled ink using a built-in Mega Piston system. The Mega Piston holds 5 ml of ink. To refill, you draw from any bottle of fountain pen ink. The pen ships with a full-size bottle of Maiora red ink, so you can fill it immediately.
What comes in the box with the Vulcania?
The Everest Vulcania ships with a pen sleeve and a full-size bottle of Maiora red ink. The pen itself carries an individual number on the base of the cap — the Vulcania is a numbered edition, with each pen bearing its own sequential number.
