The Factory colorway leaves the aluminum body in a raw, industrial-looking silver finish. The Aero's deep lengthwise grooves and tapered, Zeppelin-inspired profile are fully visible here, with the machining character of the metal surface reading as technical and workshop-inspired rather than polished or decorative.
This is a ballpoint pen. Rotating the barrel extends and retracts the writing tip. It takes a Parker-style G2 ballpoint refill, and Yafa Brands stocks replacements. Diplomat has made writing instruments in Germany since 1922, and this pen is finished at their production site in Cunewalde, Saxony. It carries a five-year manufacturer warranty.
