The Superba Jade sets an opalescent celluloid barrel against glossy black Italian resin. Jade, olive and ivory tones run through the material, cut by irregular smoky-black veining that falls differently on every pen. Yellow-gold-plated trim and an engraved architectural cap band frame it, and each barrel is numbered within an edition of 288.
Nettuno first built the Superba in 1936. This version keeps the tapered outline of that pen and swaps its button filler for a fixed piston, drawing ink straight from the bottle through a Nettuno-branded #6 solid 14K gold nib. It arrives in a Nettuno presentation box with a full-size bottle of ink.

Is the whole pen celluloid?
No. The barrel is jade-green Italian celluloid. The cap, the section and the piston knob are glossy black Italian resin. The contrast between the two materials is the point of the design.
How does the Superba Jade fill?
By fixed piston. Turning the knob at the end of the barrel draws ink straight from the bottle. There is no cartridge and no converter. A full-size bottle of Nettuno ink is included, so the pen can be filled as soon as it arrives.
How large is the edition, and where is the number?
Two hundred and eighty-eight pieces worldwide. Each pen is individually numbered, engraved directly onto the celluloid barrel near the section rather than on the cap or the piston knob.
How big is the pen in the hand?
It measures 149.1 mm capped and 168.1 mm posted, with a grip 10.7 mm across and a weight of 45 g. The cap is threaded, opens in about a turn and a quarter, and posts on the back of the barrel.
