The Aero Grey has an anodized aluminum body with deep lengthwise grooves running along the barrel. Its cool graphite tone lets shadow and reflection define the Aero's tapered, Zeppelin-inspired shape rather than strong color contrast.
This is a fountain pen that takes standard international ink cartridges. A Diplomat plunger converter is available for bottled ink. The stainless steel nib comes in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad.

What nib widths does the Diplomat Aero Grey fountain pen come in?
The Aero Grey fountain pen is available with a stainless steel nib in extra fine, fine, medium, or broad. You choose the width when you order, so pick the one that matches how you write. If you tend toward fine lines on thin paper, extra fine or fine gives you that; if you write quickly with a heavier hand, medium or broad suits the pace.
What ink does this pen take, and what can I order from Yafa when I need more?
The Aero Grey takes standard international ink cartridges and, using the included Diplomat plunger converter, draws ink from a bottle. Yafa stocks Diplomat bottled ink in 30 ml bottles as a compatible option for use with the converter.
Where is the Diplomat Aero made?
The Aero Grey is produced at Diplomat's German production site in Cunewalde, Saxony. Diplomat has been making writing instruments in Germany since 1922, and finished pens in the Aero line come from that same location.
What warranty does the Aero Grey carry?
The Diplomat Aero Grey fountain pen comes with a five-year manufacturer warranty. A warranty card is included in the case with the pen.
