The Aero Flame has a stainless steel body finished by real fire. Irregular bands of blue, violet, bronze, and gold spread across the lengthwise grooves and tapered profile, and because the coloration develops through heat, the distribution of tones is different on every pen.
This is a fountain pen. It takes standard international ink cartridges or, with a Diplomat plunger converter, bottled ink. The stainless steel nib is available in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad.

No two Diplomat Aero Flame pens are identical. The stainless steel body is individually flame-finished using real fire, and the result varies from piece to piece. That means the pen you receive has a surface pattern that no other Aero Flame shares. If you are buying more than one, expect visible differences between them.

The Aero Flame fountain pen takes standard international ink cartridges and also accepts a converter for bottled ink.
