The Rhomb Flame replaces the Aero's usual lengthwise grooves with an all-over diamond pattern. Its stainless-steel body is individually heat-treated, developing shifting blue, violet, bronze, and gold tones across the faceted surface. Because each pen is finished by real fire, no two are identical.
This is a fountain pen. It accepts standard international ink cartridges and is compatible with a Diplomat plunger converter for use with bottled ink. The stainless-steel nib is available in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad.

What comes in the box with the Rhomb Flame fountain pen?
The pen ships in a case for three writing instruments, together with a converter, two standard international ink cartridges, and a warranty card. The converter lets you draw from bottled ink straight away; the two standard international ink cartridges give you an alternative if you prefer cartridges. Everything you need to start writing is included.
Is the Rhomb Flame finish the same on every pen, or does it vary?
It varies. The Rhomb Flame pen has a stainless steel body that is individually flame-finished, so no two pens carry an identical surface. Diplomat states the effect is forged by real fire. The result is that the pen you receive will be distinct from any other Rhomb Flame pen, and from any photograph of one.
Which nib widths are available for this fountain pen?
The stainless steel nib is available in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad. All four widths are on the same pen in the same Rhomb Flame finish, so you choose the width that suits your handwriting when you order rather than having to source a separate pen for a different line weight.
Can I use bottled ink, and what do I need?
The pen takes bottled ink via the Diplomat plunger converter that is supplied in the box. When you need to refill, draw from any bottle and continue writing. Yafa also stocks Diplomat bottled ink in 30 ml bottles if you need a compatible ink to use with the pen.
