Fire moves ember-orange and copper across a base of charcoal, smoke-gray and black, so the color reads differently depending on how the light falls. Gold-tone trim picks up the warmer tones and gives the collection its boldest finish. Each pen carries its own individual number.
The fountain pen is offered two ways. The steel nib fills from a standard international cartridge or converter, using a blind cap at the end of the barrel that turns the converter like a piston so the barrel never has to come apart, while the 14KT gold nib is a true piston with an ink window.

The steel nib fills from a standard international ink cartridge or converter, using a blind cap at the end of the barrel that turns the converter like a piston so the barrel never has to come apart. The 14KT gold nib is a true piston with an ink window, filling directly from bottled ink.
When the refill runs low on the steel-nib version, what does it take?
The steel-nib configuration uses a standard international ink cartridge and converter system. When you need a replacement, any standard international ink cartridge fits. A converter is also compatible with that same system, and the blind cap at the barrel end turns it without requiring the barrel to come apart.
Does each Fire pen carry a number, and is production capped at a set figure?
Each pen carries its own individual number. No production ceiling is published for the Fire finish, so there is no announced maximum to point to. The pen is numbered but not formally limited.
