The Golden Rule fountain pen is offered with a number 6 or an oversized number 8 nib, in stainless steel or 14KT gold, on either a standard international cartridge and converter system or a piston filler. Nib material does not determine the filling system — those are independent choices across the six configurations available.
How does the blind cap work, and how does that affect the cartridge and converter version?
On the steel cartridge and converter configuration, a blind cap at the end of the barrel turns the converter without removing the barrel. This lets you advance the converter the same way you would operate a piston pen, without disassembling anything. The pen accepts a standard international ink cartridge or a standard international converter.
What comes in the box with the 14KT gold piston version?
The oversized 14KT gold piston version is supplied in a Maiora presentation box with a collection sleeve, a full-size bottle of Maiora ink, and a documentation set. The piston fills directly from bottled ink, and the included bottle means you can fill the pen straight away.
Is each Golden Rule pen individually numbered, and where does the number appear?
Each Golden Rule pen carries its own individual number, located on the bottom of the cap opposite the clip. No production ceiling is published for the Golden Rule finish, so the numbering is a record of individual identity rather than an indicator of a fixed print run.
